Taipei, Taiwan, August 12th, 2021 – Advantech, a leading provider of medical computing systems and services, is pleased to announce the latest addition to its AMiS product line – the AMiS-22 telehealth suitcase. Designed to support a wide range of telehealth applications, AMiS-22 features a 10.1” industrial-grade tablet powered by a high-performance Intel® Atom™ x7-Z8750 processor with a two-megapixel fixed-focus camera, omnidirectional speakers, and USB hub. To facilitate diverse teleconsultations and diagnosis tasks, the AMiS-22 solution is equipped with three USB 2.0 ports for integrating optional peripherals, such as a digital scope, wireless ultrasound probe, digital stethoscope, 12-lead portable ECG machine, and/or VSee Messenger video-conferencing software. To ensure reliable operation, the front panel of the AIM tablet is equipped with IP65-rated protection from water and dust, while the rechargeable battery can support various devices connected to the suitcase for approximately 4 ~ 6 hours of operation depending on the usage situation. Overall, AMiS-22 provides a lightweight and truly portable solution for delivering healthcare at any time in any location.

All-in-One Solution with Grab-and-Go Functionality

Designed to adhere to the standard dimensions for carry-on luggage (22 x 14 x 9 in), Advantech’s AMiS-22 telehealth suitcase measures exactly 21.96 x 13.97 x 8.98 inches. This not only makes the kit suitable for worldwide air travel, but also ensures easy portability and transport during routine community-based healthcare visits. Moreover, because of its compact size, the AMiS-22 telehealth suitcase is also ideal for emergency response applications and remote or extreme environments, such as oil rigs, mining fields, marine hospitals, and mobile/pop-up clinics with limited space. Furthermore, with the inclusion of Wi-Fi and 4G LTE technologies for network connectivity and data communication from any location, the AMiS-22 telehealth suitcase provides the ultimate grab-and-go solution for mobile healthcare applications.

Easy Expansion for Multi-Disciplinary Use

The AMiS-22 telehealth suitcase can be integrated with a wide range of optional medical devices/tools that extend the system functions and support remote diagnosis consultations. These additional devices include a digital stethoscope, 12-lead portable ECG machine, wireless ultrasound probe, and the Horus Scope multi-lens digital scope system. Designed specifically for telemedicine, the Horus Scope is an easy-to-use hand-held tool for capturing diagnostic video and images. The various lens attachments are interchangeable to ensure flexible support for diverse medical specialties, including dermatology, audiology, and dentistry.

Video Conferencing for Remote Real-Time Consultations

AMiS-22 can also be equipped with the VSee Messenger communication software app, which supports multi-way video conferencing. This allows physicians in remote locations to converse with patients in real time, share videos and images with colleagues, and review laboratory results, CT scans, and EHR records all from a single lightweight platform for truly portable healthcare.
